Read below on how to qualify to the Main Event in 2009.
The top 2 finishers in each local 14and1.com qualifier straight pool league point standings after the final week of league play will earn an invite to the annual 14and1.com Straight Pool National Championships 2009. These qualifiers/players will use the handicap throughout the nationals that they ended their local league with, or highest handicap prevails (see below). There will also be "MINI" tournaments run in conjunction with the Nationals for all 14and1.com players who would like to attend and have something to play in as well.
The 2009 Nationals will have qualifiers from leagues that end 1 week BEFORE the Nationals in 2009 (date TBA). Any leagues ending AFTER this date will qualify for the 2010 Nationals.
Host Rooms may run more than 1 league before the Nationals and qualify more than 2 players out of their Host Room. If the 2 qualifying players from a previous league do want to play again in a second league , and either player finishes in the first or second qualifier spots again , then the qualifier invites will go to the next positions of finish on the final week of league play , since those 2 players are already qualified they can't win 2 invites in the Nationals , but we don't want to exclude them from enjoying the second league either.
There will be a dress code for the nationals , the dress code will be clean shirts (any type ok), no ragged pants (clean ok, clean shorts ok), any clean footwaer ok, hats are ok but in good taste. Lets be comfortable but not over the line.
Hope to see you at the next 14and1.com nationals!
PREVAILING HANDICAP FOR NATIONALS: Player handicaps for qualifiers will be the handicap a player ends latest league with , but not less than the original handicap the player qualified for nationals, highest prevails if a player is or has played in more than one league. |
